MacLeod Public School, home of the Mustangs, is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 Regular Program School of 660 students. It is a wonderful school located in the south end of the city.
There are a variety of options for extra-curricular activities at MacLeod. Students can participate on athletic teams including cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, soccer, floor hockey, softball, track and field and relay. As well, we offer artistic activities throughout the year: concert and jazz bands, choir, drumming group and drama and art clubs.
There are many academic challenges for our students outside of the classrooms as well, including the Heritage Fair, Science Fair, Entrepreneurship Fair, Bridge Building Competition and the Math, Science and Technology Olympics.
The School Council at MacLeod meets regularly, supporting and promoting our school.
Technology is the future. Students have access to iPads, Chromebooks and MacBooks. Each classroom has an Apple TV. Teachers and students learn together about the ever-changing world of technology. A respectful Global Citizenship is an important part of learning for all.
MacLeod Public School has an outstanding staff of dedicated professionals who provide a dynamic education for all of our Mustangs.
